North Shore Hockey Development Academy 3 on 3 league is back for the third straight summer!!  The 3 on 3 league will run for 9 weeks throughout the summer at Hot Shots Ice Arena in Lake Bluff.  Every summer has been sold out register today to hold your spot!!

NSHDA created the 3 on 3 league to enhance players skill development and increase hockey IQ.  The smaller ice surface increases the players quick decision making, puck touches, offensive creativity and ability to play effectively in traffic against elite competition throughout the Chicagoland area.

NSHDA 3 on 3 summer league is an invitation only program limited to 9 skaters, 1 goalie per team ensuring maximum work to rest ratio.  USA hockey talks about how 3 on 3 hockey shaped Auston Matthews into the player he is today.

“To fully understand how Auston Matthews got to where he is, you need to know that when he was a boy, he spent thousands of hours on tiny rinks – not much larger than an end zone – fighting off two or three other kids, stickhandling in and around masses of skates and sticks … Every game was 3-on-3, which meant more time with the puck, more time in close quarters and a need to find a way through a tight spot … He took a road never traveled, learning the game in creative, new ways. And it paid off.”  USA Hockey.

• Thursday nights starting July 2nd - August 27th
• One-hour ice sessions
• 1 minute shifts with buzzer system
• Coaches on bench to provide instruction within the game
• Fun and no pressure atmosphere
